Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Cryptovert get its prices?

Cryptovert sources its real-time cryptocurrency prices from CoinGecko. CoinGecko is one of the most reputable data aggregators, providing reliable pricing and market data for thousands of digital assets.

How often are prices updated?

We refresh our prices every 10 minutes. This balance gives you timely data while avoiding unnecessary server requests. Keep in mind that crypto prices can fluctuate rapidly, so verify current rates when making important decisions.

What are the "most popular weekly conversions"?

Cryptovert tracks which conversions (crypto-to-crypto or crypto-to-fiat) are most frequently used each week. The trending pairs are then featured on our homepage for easy access—just click any popular pair to perform a quick conversion.

How do I copy a conversion result with one click?

After entering your conversion details, simply click the "Copy" button. The number is instantly copied to your clipboard, so you can paste it wherever you need.

Can I save my favorite conversions?

Absolutely! When you find a conversion pair you use often, add it to your "Conversion History". You can then revisit these saved conversions anytime without re-entering the details and refresh the result to get newest price.

Is my data saved securely?

Your saved conversions and app preferences are stored locally in your browser. We never share your personal data or conversion history with external parties. If you need to remove your data, simply clear it in the app's settings.

How do I manage my memorized conversions?

Head to your "Conversion History" list to view all saved pairs. From there, you can add new conversion or delete entries you no longer need.

Why might my conversion result differ from an exchange?

Because prices are updated every 10 minutes, there may be small variances from the real-time rates on exchanges—especially during volatile market swings. For large trades, always confirm the current price directly on your chosen exchange.

Why might some coins be missing?

While CoinGecko tracks a vast range of cryptocurrencies, some coins have very limited trading volume or are not listed on major data sources. In those cases, we cannot display accurate data. If you believe a popular coin is missing, please let us know.

Is there a mobile version of Cryptovert?

Yes! Cryptovert's interface is optimized for mobile browsers, and you can even install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on many devices. This makes it easy to access your favorite conversions anytime, anywhere.

How can I contact Cryptovert?

You can reach us at contact@cryptovert.xyz for any questions, feedback, or support needs.

What are Red Flags and how are they calculated?

Cryptovert provides red flag indicators to help users identify potential risks in cryptocurrency investments. These flags are calculated using various metrics and thresholds. Here's how each flag is determined:

⚠️ Inflated FDV

Triggered when a coin's Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) is significantly higher than its market cap. This indicates potential overvaluation.

Threshold: FDV > 4x Market Cap

💧 Thin Liquidity

Indicates low trading volume and liquidity, making it difficult to buy or sell large amounts without significant price impact.

Threshold: 24h Volume < 2% of Market Cap

📉 Low Float

Indicates that a small percentage of total tokens are available for trading, which can lead to high volatility and potential manipulation.

Threshold: Circulating Supply < 25% of Total Supply

🔓 Unlock Radar

Warns about upcoming significant token unlocks that could lead to increased selling pressure.

Threshold: Calculated based on (max_supply - circulating_supply) / total_volume

🔄 Wash Trade Suspect

Identifies potential wash trading patterns where the same entity buys and sells to create artificial volume.

Threshold: 24h Volume > 2x Market Cap

Note: These thresholds are periodically reviewed and adjusted based on market conditions and analysis. Red flags are meant to be used as risk indicators and should not be the sole basis for investment decisions.
